Ag Commissioner Staples Comments on the GROW Award

Published on September 16, 2013 by Larry Crippen

Texas Ag Commissioner Todd Staples says, “A recent study shows that the number of agriculture jobs will continue to increase substantially over the next few years.”

He wants Texas youth to become involved in agriculture. The Texas Ag department has created an award to inspire youth to become involved. It’s called the GROW Award. It means Gives Recognition for Outstanding Work . . . .

Visit the Texas Ag website at where you’ll see the link to locate information regarding the GROW award. There’s a nomination form that needs to be filled out by October 1st. Staples said, “An ideal GROW award recipient is a dedicated student who has shown commitment to serving their community and who possesses strong leadership skills and good character.”
