City Council Meets

The Huntsville City Council will meet for a regular sesion at six this evening at City Hall.

Tonight’s “Consent Agenda” includes the acceptance of an award for $10,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts Grant.

During the “Statutory Agenda” consideration, City Manager Matt Benoit will make a presentation for discussion and possible action to approve decision packages for the Fiscal Year 13-14 budget.

Mr. Benoit will discuss for approval a decision package for the budget on the Citywide Texas Municipal Retirement System Plan Design Changes and the budget on Contribution to the Retiree Health Insurance Trust.

The “Statutory Agenda” also includes possible action on amending the noise ordinance, awarding a contract for land surveyors on an as-needed basis, awarding a contract for home inspectors and title companies on an as-needed basis, and authorizing the city manager to approve renewals of the City’s health insurance program and authorize payment.

Tonight, Mayor Mac Woodward will discuss possible action on amending an ordinance to redistrict the City’s wards.

City Manager Matt Benoit may also have updates for the council.
