Walker County Commissioners get together at nine this morning at the courthouse for a regular session.
On today’s “Statutory Agenda,” Laura Hons and Lee Murrah will make a presentation concerning operational and financial improvements to Emergency Services District #1. IT Director Cheryl Morris will discuss the possible hiring of an IT Analyst effective the first of January due to the new County Jail opening sooner than expected.
In other business, Purchasing Director Mike Williford will discuss approval of buying radio equipment for the Sheriff’s Office for $71,000, and he will present updates on the repair of Annex 3.
Today, Judge Pierce will talk with commissioners about approving an order for consolidating County election precinct boundaries and adopting corresponding maps. They will look at approving an agreement between the Texas Department of Agriculture and the County regarding the Community Development Fund on behalf of Riverside Water Supply, and take a look at the Fireworks Ban. Vicki Schultz from Grantworks will make a presentation on the County Energy Transportation Infrastructure Fund (TIF) and the related County Energy Transportation Reinvestment Zone. Precinct #4 Commissioner Tim Paulsel will discuss moving forward with the Fund and Zone and designation of a vendor to assist with its application of administration.
