OFFSTAGE: Tim McGraw, Faith Hill Taylor Swift Tweet Prayers for Boston

Published on April 16, 2013 by CMT News

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and
out of the spotlight.)

It’s hard to imagine anyone who isn’t praying for everyone in Boston right now. So
the fact that country stars are taking to Twitter to send out prayers for all the people killed or injured at the Boston Marathon
on Monday (April 15) feels so right.

Here are some of the messages posted within the past 24 hours:

“Like everyone,
we’ve been watching events unfold in Boston, and our deep thoughts, love, and prayers go out to everyone affected by this
heinous act. The courage and compassion of our first responders and bystanders who selflessly jumped in to help inspires us
all.” — Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

“Sending all
of my love to Boston after a day of sadness and confusion and not knowing what to say. I just don’t understand.” — Taylor
Swift

“Prayers going out to everyone in Boston. #prayforboston,” — Jason
Aldean

“It’s hard to find words to express the confusion and sadness I feel for what happened in Boston today.
I don’t understand random acts of violence or, in this case, planned acts of violence, and I guess I never will. Boston is
one of my favorite cities, and my heart is with everyone there. Hugging my family a little closer tonight.” — Martina
McBride

“Boston, sending our thoughts and prayers.” — The Band Perry

“Praying
for all of those injured and affected by the Boston marathon explosions. Can’t believe it. So sad.” — Lady
Antebellum
‘s Hillary Scott

I’m sure Brad Paisley is praying, too, but his
tweet expressed pure anger.

“Could there be anything more cowardly than planting a bomb in a public place and running
away? These terrorists are the epitome of cowardice,” he wrote.
