HISD Board of Trustees Meet Tonight

The HISD Board of Trustees will have their regular meeting tonight at six at the Hawkins Administration Building.

Trustees will recognize staff and others.

Tonight’s “Consent Agenda” includes consideration of Board approval of the 2013-14 Areas of Acute Teacher Shortage, recognizing October 20th-25th as “Red Ribbon Week” at HISD, purchasing four new district vehicles, the purchase of school buses from Longhorn Bus Sales, and approval of personnel-related items.

Tonight, Board members will look at approving and adopting a resolution regarding the continued use of the Curriculum Support System.

Board members will hear reports on the Summer 2013 End-of-Course Retest Results, the 2012-13 STAAR Performance Report, Senate Bills 393 and 1114, and gifts and donations to HISD.

Superintendent, Dr. Steve Johnson, will file a report on the Start of School and give a 2013 Board of Trustees Election update.
