In Huntsville Police news over the past several days, on Friday’s day shift there was a commercial burglary in the 7500 block of Highway 75 South. In the 2700 block of Montgomery Road, a 28-year-old man was arrested on a warrant for credit card abuse of elderly and possession of marijuana along with a 19-year-old woman who was arrested for credit card abuse of elderly.
On the night shift Friday, in the 2100 block of Sam Houston, one vehicle and a city patrol vehicle were involved in an accident with no injuries and minor damage. In the 1600 block of Sycamore, an 18-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
On Saturday’s day shift, police were called to a burglary-in-progress in the 100 block of Earl Road.
On the night shift Saturday, a residential burglary was investigated in the 2300 block of Avenue I.
On Sunday’s day shift, 29-year-old Eric Thomas was arrested in the 3000 block of Sam Houston for Assault in Family Violence with previous convictions, assault on a public servant, resisting, and retaliation.
On Sunday’s night shift, a 50-year-old woman was arrested in the 1500 block of 11th Street for possession of a controlled substance.
On Monday’s day shift, a city patrol vehicle struck a pole causing minor damage in the 100 block of I-45 South.
On Monday’s night shift, an unknown suspect passed counterfeit money in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue.
