A Walker County grand jury has indicted Clarence Collins Clemons and Rodney James with dog fighting–participating in earnings or providing a building or property. Clemons and James were arrested in March. Clemons was still being held in the Walker County Jail as of last week. James posted a $10,000 bond and was released.
A cellphone video shown to HPD allegedly ties the men to a dog fight between two pit bulls. Reports say the fights took place at a residence in the 200 block of Sam Houston Avenue and behind Eastham-Thomason Park. One dog had to be put down as a result of one of the fights.
