Anthony Laroy Callahan Jr. and Raishon Harris from Trinity were indicted last week by a Walker County grand jury for aggravated robbery.
The two are accused of robbing a Dollar General store at gunpoint on November 15th around 7:30 in the evening. Walker County Sheriff’s deputy Brandon Stokes was on patrol near Wood Farm Road in Riverside when he saw the two men quickly exiting the store. When the two men saw the police vehicle, they fled on foot. The deputy began a pursuit of the men on foot.
Following a thorough search–including help from HPD and their K-9 unit, SHSU Police, and DPS–Callahan and Harris were found near FM 980 West and arrested.
The two men had taken about $290 dollars from the store and were in possession of a stolen handgun from Harris County.
If the men are found guilty, they could get 5 to 99 years in prison and be fined up to $10,000 dollars.
