TxDOT Seeks Public Input

Published on November 11, 2013 by Larry Crippen

In an effort to address long-term statewide transportation needs, the Texas Department of Transportation will host the first in a series of meetings to gather public input to help shape the Texas Transportation Plan 2040.

The meeting for the Bryan District, which Walker County is a part of, will be held Thursday, November 14th, from 4 to 7 PM at the TxDOT Bryan District Assembly Room at 2591 North Earl Rudder Freeway in Bryan.

The Texas Transportation Plan 2040 will define TxDOT’s long-range goals, priorities, and resource allocation for multiple transportation modes–including roadways, transit, freight, and pedestrian and bicycle travel. The plan also will address the state’s aging infrastructure and growing population.
