“Break the Cycle” Event Saturday

Published on January 17, 2014 by Larry Crippen

A big fundraising event happens this Saturday at 2 PM in Huntsville. Home Depot, Bill Fick Ford, Team Dodge, and Double Dave’s Pizza are sponsoring the special “Breaking the Cycle” event to benefit SAAFE House. You’re welcomed to come out and donate or watch.

Marketing and Development Director Dee Everett tells us, “Legacy Martial Arts came up with this great idea to “break the cycle.” She said, “It’s a breakathon on January 18th . . . .”

Everett tells us, “Every nine seconds we know a woman is assaulted in this country. And, so, we hope that we have a really unique and great event going on” tomorrow.

The event takes place tomorrow at 2 PM at Legacy Martial Arts at 1015 13th Street. You may drop off donations at SAAFE House on Sam Houston Avenue or Legacy Martial Arts. Their website is at legacymartialarts.net.
