In Monday morning’s court session, Walker County Commissioners agreed to accept the low bid from the LMC company for $39,470 to construct a bulletproof wall for the Walker County D-A’s office. Money to pay for it at this time will come from contigency funds, although the possibility of using leftover jail construction funds was discussed by District Attorney David Weeks.
County Auditor Patricia Allen advised on the funding issue in case remaining bond funds might be used, after all . . . .
District Attorney Weeks also addressed Commissioners in reference to a grant from the Governor’s Office to fund other security equipment for the D-A’s office . . . .
