City Council Meets Tonight

The Huntsville City Council meets for a workshop and regular session tonight.

The workshop at 5:30 will feature Jack Setterberg and Johnny DeBaugh of Weatherford International in Huntsville who will give a presentation on their local facilities.

At 6 PM, the regular council session will begin.

Entergy customer service manager Ronnie Hale will be introduced.

On tonight’s “Consent Agenda,” the council will consider authorizing the city manager to apply for the 2015 Victims’ Service Coordinator Grant for $55,178, plus a $13,794 cash match and the adoption of a resolution for it.

The council will have a first reading of an ordinance denying the Entergy rate increase request.

City Manager Matt Benoit may update various activities of the City.

During a closed Executive Session tonight, councilmembers will receive legal advice on deliberation regarding the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property on claims for easement by Jerry DeWitt and on the easement process.
