Walker County Commissioners meet this morning at nine at the courthouse.
Commissioners will hold a public hearing on a County Energy Transportation Reinvestment Zone possibly on Dodge-Oakhurst Road.
Judge Danny Pierce will talk about proceeding with plans for the handicap access on the east side of the courthouse. He will also discuss for approval awarding engineering services in accordance with a community development block contract with the Walker County Riverside Water Supply Corporation, and approving services for a financial advisor.
Administrative Assistant Sherri Pegoda will discuss County participation in the 27th Annual Trade Expo on March 6th by paying a $350 booth cost.
Precinct #2 Commissioner Ronnie White will talk about approval of the purchase of a John Deer forklift/loader from the Texas Facilities Commission for $17,000 from budgeted funds.
Precinct #4 Commissioner Tim Paulsel will talk about a change proposal regarding additional work required at the TxDOT retaining wall between the jail property and the adjacent TDCJ property. He will also discuss for approval amending a tax abatement agreement between Walker County and Cowhouse Partners, Chemex Modular.
