In Huntsville Police news, on Friday’s night shift police were dispatched to an assault in the 2300 block of Sam Houston Avenue–an unknown suspect had assaulted a victim.

On the day shift Saturday, police investigated a sexual assault in the 1300 block of Smither Drive where an unknown suspect assaulted the victim. A residential burglary was reported in the 1400 block of Nottingham.

On Saturday’s night shift, an assault by a known individual was investigated in the 7400 block of State Highway 75 South.

On the day shift Sunday, police were dispatched to an assault by a known person in the 7000 block of State Highway 75 South. At 1 Financial Plaza, 31-year-old George Floria was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and forgery.

On Sunday’s night shift, a residential burglary was investigated in the 2800 block of Lake Road. At the intersection of Persimmon Drive and Highway 190, 46-year-old Mark Murphy was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
