“Ready, Set, Huntsville” Held Tuesday

The Huntsville Fire Department and other local first-responders held their “Ready, Set, Huntsville!” event at the newly renovated Fire Station #2 on Sam Houston Avenue Tuesday night.

Participants took advantage of free hot dogs, beverages, information on the department’s wildfire prevention program and got a chance to see their new ladder truck.

Last night, assistant fire chief John Hobbs showed us the renovations by volunteers to Station #2 following earlier flood damage . . . .


Huntsville Fire Chief Tom Grisham said their new 75-foot ladder truck on display “was a 2,000 GPM (gallons-per-minute) truck built by Pierce. It’s a 2014 unit . . . .
