TDCJ Seeking Pay Boost For Correctional & Parole Officers

In an effort to improve correctional officer and parole officer issues, TDCJ is seeking a pay boost.

We talked with TDCJ’s Director of Public Information Jason Clark . . . .

The boost in salary for beginning TDCJ officers would be from $29,220 to $32,142. For beginning parole officers it would go from $35,879 to $39,467.

We also talked with local AFSCME Correctional Officers Union President Lance Lowery about his take on the proposed pay raise . . . .
