We still have no word yet on the outcome of Trinity County authorities search Wednesday for the body of a man they believe may have jumped off the Trinity River Bridge at Highway 19 in a possible attempt at suicide.
According to station KTRE’s website report Wednesday evening, Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace said a dive team had been called in for the search.
The Trinity County Sheriff reported that a woman told him that following an argument she had with her husband on Tuesday evening, he left. The man’s car was found on the Trinity River bridge on Highway 19 Wednesday morning.
Blood was found inside the car. Also, there was a trail of blood going from the car to the bridge and over the side.
Sheriff Wallace reported that although it appeared that someone slit their wrists in the vehicle, authorities are investigating the incident as a possible homicide.
DPS Troopers and Parks & Wildlife game wardens were at the scene of the investigation. Boats were out in the water in search of the missing man.
