Operation Finally Home, along with Huntsville High School and Lowe’s Home Improvement are hosting a dedication ceremony for two tiny homes at Huntsville High School behind the construction shop (this morning) Friday, April 28, at 9 am. Huntsville High School CTE (Career and Technical Education) students and teachers along with other donors, supporters and suppliers partnered to build the tiny homes which will be moved to FOB Ten Mile Ranch at a later date. The homes will provide transitional housing for a deserving military veteran in the future.
Ten Mile Ranch is owned by Roger and Tara Burnett. Purchased in 2002, the ranch has been home to the couple, their five children as well as grandchildren. The couple established FOB Ten Mile as a way to serve and provide safe housing for the nation’s veterans.
This is the second and third homes which will be placed on the property through FOB Ten Mile, a charity they established. The first tiny home was dedicated Sept. 24, 2022, for U.S. Army Captain Billy Joe (B.J.) Shotwell.
