The Huntsville City Council will meet for a regular session this evening at six in the Staggs Community Room at the Huntsville Public Library.
Previous to the session, at 5 PM they will have a Workshop on Safety Training for the City Council.
Three proclamations will be read by Mayor Brauninger regarding:
-The National Day of Prayer
-Municipal Clerk Week
–National Tourism Week
During a Presentation, the Girl Scout Troop of San Jacinto Council, Tannybo Community will be recognized.
Tonight’s “Consent Agenda” includes the Second Reading of the adoption of an ordinance changing the name of Parkwood Drive to “Wischnewsky Drive.”
Tonight’s “Statutory Agenda” includes:
-Consideration of a resolution supporting an application for additional funding for housing tax credits and/or HOME/TCAP funding, to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for FishPond Living at Walker, LP, a senior rental housing development proposed to be located at approximately 935 State Highway 190 East.
–First Reading of an ordinance to consider authorizing the settlement of the proposed rate increase of Entergy Texas.
Tonight the City Council will consider and possibly act to rescind their action on March 21, 2023 to keep the Ward One Seat vacant for the unexpired term.
Also, tonight, councilmembers may consider and possibly act to fill, by appointment, the vacancy in the City Council Ward One Position for the unexpired term.
