In Huntsville Police news, looking over the past several days:
Last Friday, in the 1600 block of Sycamore, an unknown suspect displayed a firearm while threatening a victim. Police investigated an assault on a person in the 1500 block of 11th Street. A theft was reported in the 100 block of I-45 South. In the 3500 block of State Highway 30, Benjamin Thomas Nitsche was arrested for injury to the elderly.
On Saturday, in a case of criminal mischief, a vehicle was damaged in the 700 block of Old Colony Road. A vehicle burglary was investigated in the 5000 block of Sam Houston Avenue. In the 3000 block of State Highway 30, an unknown suspect entered a business and stole property. A vehicle was reported stolen in the 2200 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive. In the 600 block of I-45 North, a firearm was stolen from a vehicle. Two vehicles were damaged in a case of criminal mischief in the 500 block of 11th Street.
On Sunday, in a case of aggravated assault in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue, a possibly known suspect assaulted a victim causing serious bodily injury. In the 2400 block of Lake Road, a known suspect assaulted a victim with a deadly weapon. In the first 100 block of Smith Hill Road, an unknown person set fire to an abandon residence.
On Monday, an unknown suspect stole lottery tickets in the 100 block of US 190. In a case of aggravated assault in the 900 block of Old Madisonville, a known suspect possibly discharged a handgun toward a victim.
