Green Flag Digital’s Marketing Services Research Outreach Coordinator, Chloe Ekberg, informs us that the growth in Conroe continues, with Americans planning moves in 2024 setting their sights on the city.
The findings come in a new report analyzing searches by Americans planning a move this year from relocation tech company moveBuddha and finds which city is the top destination in each state.
In Texas, Conroe is the #1 top move-to city of 2024, with 2X more searches for moves into the city than out. Other takeaways include:
- Conroe is among the 10 cities with the highest in-to-out move ratio. For every 214 searches for moves into the city, there are only 100 out.
- With an average home value of around $318K, Conroe homes are more affordable than the average home in the United States. This highlights an overall trend of moves flocking to cities where homeownership is more viable for the average American.
- Conroe has been recognized as one of the most affordable, fastest-growing suburbs in the nation. The lakeside city has seen rapid growth, reaching an estimated 100K residents (Census, 2022) with growth over the past decade enough to open a new school campus annually.
- The overall analysis highlights a broader trend toward smaller cities with strong communities and recreational opportunities. Conroe’s combination of recreational, cultural, and economic opportunities, coupled with its status as a top move-to city in Texas, aligns with a wider desire for locations that offer a high quality of life without the congestion of larger urban centers.
