The Courier of Montgomery County reports that following Hurricane Beryl, as officials have given the okay to new home developments to bring hundreds of homes to the area, new sales and construction of homes are back on the upswing in Montgomery County.
Houston Association of Realtors Chair Thomas Mouton said the recent lowering of mortgage rates have given home buyers “a bit of renewed optimism.”
A subsidiary of Starlight Homes, Ashton Woods, has gotten construction underway on Royal Pines. This effort will bring along 450 homes to the New Caney/Kingwood area. The subdivision of 150 acres is one of the final residential developments that is served by Montgomery County Municipal Utility District 24.
Off FM 1488 near Moore Road, in Magnolia, Rausch Coleman Homes is developing 52 acres. The development, called Moore Landing, will feature 141 single-family homes beginning at an upper cost of $190,000. Located within Magnolia ISD boundaries, the development will offer homes ranging from 1,308 square feet to 2,411 square feet.
In Magnolia, the Escondido community on its 150-acre master-planned development on FM 1774 west of Magnolia West High School, 167 new lots are being added. Upon completion, Escondido will offer 600 homes.
Off FM 1488, Magnolia Springs is offering 65 new lots. It’s a 665 acre master-planned community. It’s designed for 1,900 homes at completion and is being developed by Woodlands-based Signorelli Company.
Home to 1,400 families when completed. Mill Creek Estates in Magnolia is adding 69 new lots. Mill Creek is a 378 acre community. Homes start at $200,000. They range in size from 1,263 square feet to 2,561 square feet.
To their 221 acre-development, Emory Glen off FM 1488 is adding 60 residential lots. A project of 221 Development Partners, 800 homes are being planned starting from the $200,000s.
