On February 19th, a joint effort by the Walker County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers, and the Houston Police Department led to the arrest of Victor Alcides Hernandez in south Houston. Thirty-two-year-old Hernandez is charged with the murder of Saul Espinoza, whose remains were discovered in August of 2023 in the 100 Block of Pinedale Road, Walker County.
Hernandez is currently being held in the Walker County Jail on a $500,000 bond for the murder charge, in addition to facing charges from other counties. Law enforcement agencies collaborated tirelessly over months to build the case and secure an arrest warrant.
