KBTX 3 reports that the Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has confirmed the
arrests of two teachers this past month from Huntsville ISD in separate incidents.
The most recent arrest was a Huntsville High School teacher accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a high school student. HPD said they were notified of the allegations involving 42-year-old Eric Buchek from the school district and immediately began an investigation.
Bucheck was released from the Walker County jail on a $7500 bond.
Public Information Officer Shannon Hollis said, “The district took immediate action to ensure the teacher was removed from the District and will not be returning.’
A second teacher, Demondrae Murray, was arrested earlier last month after Huntsville police said he left campus in the middle of the day to go and meet in a hotel with a sex worker along I-45.
