In Huntsville Police news, looking back over the past several days:
Last Thursday, a vehicle burglary was investigated in the 200 block of State Highway 75 North. At the intersection of I-45 and PR 40, an unknown suspect stole cargo from a flat bed 18 wheeler. In the 200 block of I-45 South, an unknown suspect stole property without making payment. A known suspect failed to pay for services in the 400 block of FM 2821 West. An unknown suspect stole property without making payment in the 100 block of I-45 South. In the 2200 block of Sam Houston, a possibly known suspect sexually assaulted a victim. At the 112 mile marker on I-45, John Ray Elliot was arrested for DWI and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
On Saturday, a theft was investigated in the 500 block of I-45 South. A known suspect possibly injured a child in the 1300 block of Windsor. In the 300 block of Bowers Boulevard, an unknown suspect stole a firearm out of a vehicle. In the 200 block of Willowbend two firearms were reported stolen from a vehicle with the actual theft occurring on April 1st. Property was reported stolen in the 300 block of Fallow Deer. In the 2600 block of El Toro, Jatrevion James was arrested for evading, resisting arrest, unlawful carrying of a firearm, tampering with identification numbers and public intoxication.
On Sunday, known suspects assaulted each other in the 900 block of 11th Street. In a case of assault, at the intersection of FM 247 and Essex, a known suspect allegedly displayed a handgun. In the 1300 block of Smither Drive, possibly known suspects assaulted a victim. In the 2400 block of Montgomery Road, Darin Higgs was arrested for assault in family violence. In the 2500 block of
Sam Houston Avenue, Jayme Hoyt was arrested for criminal trespass.
