Walker County Commissioners held their regular meeting at the courthouse Monday.
One of the issues discussed at length was the consideration of closing Dipping Vat Road at the precinct line for safety concerns due to flooding.
A “citizen’s input” discussion was opened on this, and six citizens from Texas Grand Ranch spoke.
There were many views expressed on keeping the road open.
Area resident Michael Richardson passed along several of them.
That there were only minor safety issues was expressed. It was also expressed that the local property association would welcome discussion on this issue with commissioners.
A date of February 27th was set up for Commissioner White and possibly Commissioner Decker to talk with the group.
Planning Director Andy Isbell said there will also be a workshop.
