At this week’s regular session of Walker County Commissioners’ Court, commissioners discussed taking action on a DPS Interlocal Agreement for a Failure to Appear Program.
Referring to the agenda item, County Judge Christian said, “This is just an updated contract. They just did some language upgrades.”
The judge asked Assistant District Attorney Quentin Russell if he had any further comments.
Mr. Russell added, “But in order to participate in that you have to agree to various DPS requirements. This, in fact, is just an amended agreement that’s been ongoing for a long time.”Commissioners approved the Interlocal Agreement.
