The Courier of Montgomery County has passed along some of the important developments revealed since the beginning of 2024 in Montgomery County.
Regarding residential projects, construction has begun by D.R. Horton on Silverthorne development at FM 1484 and Wally Wilkerson Parkway spanning 1,342 acres. The first phase includes 271 homes. The over all community will offer 3,500 homes.
At 10505 Airport Road, Cielo has welcomed its first residents to an 840 acre master-planned project. The developer is the Signorelli Company. Model homes are currently open. The first phase will include 368 homes. Most homebuilders’ prices range from $290,000 to almost $330,000.
West of Interstate 45 at 9238 Crestone Peak Drive in Willis, Legend Homes has made known it’s grand opening for Ridgeland Hills. The community project includes 127 lots on 205 acres.
A new Woodlands biotech district could be constructed in the next five to ten years, according to developer Howard Hughes. For a total of 83 acres, five potential sites have been listed for the district. Cancer treatment is a major objective of the new district.
Some time in the future, a 200-acre park will be available for New Caney residents. In March, at an East Montgomery County Improvement District meeting, Burditt Consultants revealed plans for a park in two phases at FM 1485 along Caney Creek.
