Veterans Museumof Texas to deliver a $65,000 check from the funds raised during his Governor for a Day celebration, which was held on Friday, September 6th. The position places him third in line to serve as acting Governor, including on the day the “Governor for a Day” celebration is held.
As Governor for a Day, Senator Charles Schwertner chose to honor and raise money for three other charities: Scotty’s House, Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center, and the Children’s Advocacy Center, Serving Bastrop, Lee, and Fayette Counties.
Executive Director of the museum, Tara Burnett said, “The H.E.A.R.T.S. Veterans Museum of Texas was extremely honored to be chosen by our “Governor for the Day” Dr. Charles Schwertner, as a recipient for his fundraiser.”
