Fall Farmers Market

The City of Huntsville’s Main Street Program invites you to its weekly “Fall Farmers Market.” The market will be open from 8am-noon each Saturday from Oct. 8 through Nov. 19 – and will take place on University Avenue between 11th & 12th Street in downtown Huntsville. Vendors will feature fresh homegrown produce – and number of handmade items such as natural bath & beauty products, leather goods and woodworking tools. Town Creek Drainage Project Phase II

October 17 - December 31

The City of Huntsville’s Town Creek Drainage Project Phase II is progressing – and work in the affected areas is likely to continue to produce delays & detours. Beginning Monday, work will begin at the 10th Street intersection between Avenues ‘N’ & ‘O.’ The section is scheduled to be closed through the end of the year. Drivers are urged to plan on finding alternate routes and providing adequate time to reach destinations in light of the changes in the traffic patterns. For more…

Huntsville Little Dribblers

Early registration is underway for the upcoming Huntsville Little Dribblers basketball season. Early registration continues through Nov. 27. Late registration will take place Nov. 28 through Dec. 3. A skills test assessment for all ages is set for Dec. 3 at Louis Davis Gym on the campus of Huntsville Intermediate School on Highway 190 East. You can help make a difference in a child’s life by becoming a Court-Appointed Special Advocate with CASA of Walker, San Jacinto & Trinity counties. CASA trains volunteers to serve as advocates for neglected, abused & abandoned children who are placed in the foster care system. The New Waverly Little Dribblers will host registration Oct. 22. The events will take place in the gym at New Waverly Junior High School.
