Walker County Beekeepers School for Beginning Beekeeping

Free Personal Income-Tax Assistance

IRS certified tax-aide counselors offering free personal income-tax assistance beginning February 5th at University Heights Baptist Church on Sycamore Avenue in Huntsville.  The service will continue from 9am-1pm, Thursdays and Fridays through April 10th.  1st come, 1st served.  For details, call 295-2996.

Head Start Child Development Center accepting applications for 2015-16

Huntsville’s Head Start Child Development Center is currently accepting applications for 2015-2016. Applications can be picked up in person at the center’s headquarters on FM 980 near FM 247. Qualified children must be 3 or 4 years old by September 1, 2015. For more information call 291-9190.

Wynne Home Arts Center spring classes

March 16 - April 25

Huntsville’s Wynne Home Arts Center will host a variety of spring classes beginning Monday.  Classes will be offered in collage, photography, ceramics, creative writing, Mommy & me, bilingual crafts for kds, science experiments, watercolor portraits, environmental art, silk painting, movie literacy, & ceramics open studio. 2nd annual “Oh Snaps!” professional headshot fund-raiser

With the rapid approach of the end of the SHSU spring semester, many students are beginning to look for summer internships, jobs & volunteer opportunities. To help students make a good 1st impression when contacting potential employers, the university’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America will offer its 2nd annual “Oh Snaps!” professional headshot fund-raiser. The event is set for 4-6pm March 31 on the ground floor of the Dan Rather Communications Building on the university campus.…
