Welcome to The Backroads on 101.7 KSAM. KSAM began featuring Texas and Red-dirt country in 2002 with the Stars of Texas Spotlight. The Backroads is a specialty music program that features all Texas and Red-Dirt Country music, as well as legendary Texas troubadours. Every Saturday night from 5:00 pm – Midnight, your host, Bryan Reeder, plays your favorite Texas artists like: Kevin Fowler, Cody Johnson, Bri Bagwell, Randy Rogers, Cody Canada, Roger Creager, Kylie Frey, Jesse Raub Jr. and many more. Bryan also mixes in those legendary troubadours that made Texas music famous, like: Gary P. Nunn, Jerry Jeff Walker, Robert Earl Keen, Guy Clark, Willie Nelson, George Strait, and Waylon Jennings. As Bryan always says, “Drop the tailgate, crack open a cold one, and turn up the radio.” This is our kind of music.
