The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect for noon today to 10 this evening for critical fire weather to extreme fire weather conditions across Southeast Texas. Counties affected include Walker, Houston, Trinity, Madison, San Jacinto, Polk, Washington, Grimes and Montgomery.
A Red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures will create explosive fire growth potential.
